About the Coupon Tigress

I am a Grandmother of 6, 5 boys and 1 girl. Have 3 children, all grown up and cozy on their own. Come from a family of 15. I work for Giant Tigers  full time Cashier/Customer Service. Mother, Dovina lives  in a Nursing Home and is Very Frail  in heath.  This has come to cost plenty of $, time and effort. Hair Cuts, and clothing for her extra. ( Mother Cannot Read or Write) So she remains very childlike and dependent on the family.  I don't know how she raised 15 children without the knowledge of language but she did :) and I am grateful to have her as my own.  Father Passed in Sept. 1982. I come from a Poor, but Proud Farmers Family.

Was feeling depressed over the  health of my Mother and her needs, and with family/friends deaths around me at such young ages.
I thought to myself " I need to retire early"  I Need to Find Ways to "Get Mothers Needs Meet" - "My Grandchildren"  With only a minimum wage job and little skills ( Been on my own since 13 yrs of age)  What do you do? I asked myself.
I remeber my mothers teachings on Couponing.  Well, needles to say!  I started searching  for coupons, then online ways to save money, (eg.. Ebates )  and in the papers (May this yr).

I found all kinds of places, and started folliwing advice of other web site pros.   Just this month alone I saved over $200.00!  I tell U ppl I was HOOKED!

By Utilizing any money that was saved to spoil my grandchildren and My Mother Dovina, ( now in a nursing home) with all the free bee stuff, coupons for the Hair Dresser (me and mom go together once a month)
If there is any remaining money to put into my RRSP.  It's not much, but every extra into it adds up.  My goal is not to be a financial burden on my children when I too get to that "Golden Age"

My Face Book pages were getting blogged up with to many coupon sites.  An FB Friend Pam, saw the savings I had made, found it amazing and suggested to open a group.  I must say " At first I thought it was silly". Nobody likes a crazy couponer?? Do they??   Pam encouraged me and ..  We decided to call me the "Coupon Tiger" Tigress",  cause that's what they call me were I currently work as a Cashier.  (It's a living) and I am proud to be Canadian.
Thanks to Pam the " Couupon Tiger Saving Group" started.. on Facebook and now The Coupon Tigress Website.  It is my hope that all of u will encourage and share your stories and helpful tips..  Please help me too by adding your coupon sites/Share/Invite your friends.. I am here to learn, grow and develop.. Love to hear from you..
